What Are
Serviced Offices?
Serviced offices are
individually fitted office suites within a managed facility or business
centre that offer tenants shared access to amenities such as reception,
utility rooms, conference / meeting rooms and advanced IT infrastructure. Because the
business centre provides shared amenities and equipment, you often get
infrastructure that is larger, advanced, faster and more reliable than
what you would be able to afford by yourself.
Serviced offices allow
companies immediate occupation on flexible terms. You can rent an office
suite within a business centre for an hour, a day, a month or years. These
offices can be used as permanent offices, overflow / interim space, branch
offices, or even short-term project teams, and are as attractive to small
businesses as they are to established corporate MNCs looking for extra
space or satellite offices.
The fees that tenants are
charged in serviced offices normally include the basic rent, fit-out,
furnishings, maintenance, air-conditioning, lighting, cleaning, security,
reception services, etc. Everything you need in an office is inclusive in
the rental prices quoted. In most cases, the only additional costs
incurred are for
services, but only if you use them. These additionals may include telephone calls (e.g. overseas
IDD calls), printing/copying costs and conference / meeting
room charges. In many cases, many business centres provide complimentary
conference / meeting room usage (i.e. All Corporate Serviced Offices' tenants are given
5 hours
free use of our conference / meeting rooms per month). And if you opt to use the secretarial
services provided, you only pay for the time used instead of fixed monthly salaries.
Moving your business into a
serviced office could be a cost-effective solution to your workspace needs
that avoids the trials and tribulations of traditional property letting.
Its an office space option that means you can just move in, set up and get
straight down to business. Studies show cost savings of as much as 78% are
achievable by using serviced offices.
